By leveraging an organization's existing infrastructure, but radically simplifying the exposed interface, our Web Service technology accelerates adoption, on-boarding, and integration applications and third party solutions.

identicentric's idBUS suite facilitates a loose coupling between applications and underlying identity management services. It provides a core set of web service bindings that cover virtually all common identity management use cases including:

  1. de/provisioning - the addition and removal of identity or entitlement data from authoritative identity stores
  2. authentication - verification of identity
  3. authorization - assertion of group and role membership for security enforcement
  4. entitlement management - association of identity data to entitlement sets like roles and groups
  5. auditing - logging of security events to a common store

idBUS allows an organization to develop a declarative, yet extensible, content model for identity, entitlement, and auditing objects, thus abstracting the underlying storage and transfer of data. A flexible security layer provides stacked authentication and selective authorization for service invocation and data access. And, unlike other solutions, idBUS does not expose ANY proprietary interfaces using JARs, COM DLLs, .NET assemblies, or shared libraries. EVERY integration point is purely described through valid XML schema and WSDL documents, and every operation is 100% interoperable between SOAP stacks in Java and .NET using generated proxy classes.

idBUS uses a robust command oriented pipeline chain that allows configuration and extensibility for virtually any environment. This approach allows rapid deployment and integration while retaining flexibility for future growth. Despite its flexibility, idBUS can be implemented in as little as a few weeks. Because idBUS is packaged as a J2EE standard WAR file, it can be deployed on virtually any J2EE container.
